If you are coming into Ahousaht by boat please ask the drivers to call the WildSide Trail on the VHF radio and we can meet you at the dock, if needed.

If you are planning to spend time on any part of the trail visit the Wild Side Trail office, located in Ahousaht Housing office building, to log your route and itinerary. Or email to wildsidetrail@gmail.com There is a $25 fee for accessing the trail that is payable at the trail office, via paypal online, or to one of the authorized trail staff. These fees pay for trail staff and maintenance needed along the extensive boardwalk system to help keep everyone safe.

Used by the Ahousaht people for thousands of years, Walk the Wild Side Trail is an 11km escape into the remote wilderness of Clayoquot Sound. First restored in the early 1990’s, Walk the Wild Side Trail has developed into must-see ecotourism destination for those visiting Tofino and Ucluelet. Take a tour through the Maaqtusiis reserve and then head out on to the trail with your Ahousaht Heritage Trail guidebook for the ultimate cultural experience!
***Fees:*** Please note, to keep the trail in good condition there is a $25 fee for any use of the trail. Yearly memberships available, contact the Wild Side office.

**ATTENTION VISITORS**

Due to the expansion development

in the village of Ahousaht, clearance to 1st beach will not be available during the seasonal closure of the trail.

 



SATURDAY JUNE 22nd 2013 AT 9:00am

This year’s run will start from the community of Ahousaht, continuing through nine beaches and our beautiful Westcoast forest.  The total length (return) of the run will be 22km. We will have a shorter length for other levels of runners/walkers.
